About the scholarship

This memorial scholarship for Officer Rory “Bo”  Bohanan, who was the School Resource Officer at Hillsboro-Deering is for students, past or present from Hillsboro-High School going into a career in Criminal Studies or Law Enforcement. 

2023 is the inaugural year of this scholarship award. Please fill out the application completely and attach a cover letter/case statement.

Excellent candidates will have extracurricular activities with a strong community service focus.

One student attending a 2-year Community College, Certificate Program or Trade School for Criminal Justice or Law Enforcement will be awarded a $1,000.00 scholarship to be used to toward their education-related expenses.
